Kusadama Enterprises has worked with Reliant (energy vertical) and its parent company NRG on numerous digital strategy projects directly, as well as partnered with agencies such as Grey. For this particular project, we were hired by Grey to create the content and digital strategy for a redesign of the consumer website.
We started by performing competitive analysis of the types of content that appealed to potential customers. We reviewed the social media and the websites of Reliant’s top 5 competitors. We then performed a content audit of all existing Reliant content, and started to map which content was useful to ensure business goals, as well as what types of content might need to be created. In order to recommend our final content strategy, we strategized content themes, or pillars, by which to filter all content creation and marketing. In this way, we were able to ensure that every piece of content or functionality on the site directly mapped to business goals.

We worked with the design and technical teams to ensure our strategic vision came to life–a beautiful ecommerce website with clear calls-to-action, focused promotional areas, and content that would not only drive potential customers to the site, but convince them to sign up.
We created a content matrix in order to map all possible content types and where the content would “live” on the website. We identified the various behavioral states of content–for example, personalized and dynamic content in order to increase conversions. Our team blends user experience, a deep content background, and a solid understanding of technical requirements for content into our content matrixes. Our content matrixes help developers build the content efficiently, which saves clients time and money.
